About our Undergraduate Programmes

About our Undergraduate Programs

Global University UK is able to offer three different Undergraduate degree programs through The Undergraduate School of Bible and Theology. This school is for those wanting to obtain an accredited Bible college degree or complete a second degree.

The undergraduate degree programmes are designed for minister, ministerial students, and laypersons who seriously desire a biblical education.

Our distance undergraduate program offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree through Global University worldwide, accredited in the USA. As such, your degree will be awarded in line with US undergraduate degree awards. More information about this can be found on our accreditation page. Your degree program can be completed entirely at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home. We have no fixed start date; you can enrol immediately and begin studying whenever you like, however, we recommend that you roughly stick with the UK’s ‘term-time’ system as this will give you a good indication of study pace. You are free to study how and when you like.

Once you begin studying, you are welcome to attend our intensive days which run throughout the year on Saturdays. These run monthly and each module runs over 4 sessions. If you want to book in for these events we suggest you use our contact form. The intensive days are available only on selected courses but will provide you with a forum to discuss and ask questions in a classroom environment. Intensive days are open only to those enrolled on the relevant modules so check the calender on the left to make sure you’re enrolled on the right course at the right time, however they are offered free of charge as part of your course. It would be worth checking the dates in advance so you can plan out your study.

If an undergraduate degree programme is not for you, you can apply to study in one of our ‘Short Course’ programmes. These are at the same undergraduate level but consist of fewer modules. Therefore, the certificates awarded, though fully accredited, are not full degree certificates. Short courses can be completed in as little as 6 months and so they suit those who want to study at a deeper level but do not need to obtain a full degree.

Overseas Degree Equivalency

The UK government has produced a worldwide table of degree equivalency along with a methodology document. These documents assist applicants in making a judgement about the equivalent UK degree classification of an overseas qualification. The documents can be downloaded here.

A Bachelor of Arts US degree works on a ‘Grade Point Average’ (GPA) system which is scored out of 4. According to the UK government guidelines a Global University Bachelor of Arts degree with the following GPA results would be equivalent to UK awards as follows:

  • 3.7-4.0 GPA = 1st
  • 3.2-3.6 GPA = 2:1
  • 2.6-3.1 GPA = 2:2
  • 2.0-2.5 GPA = 3rd

We hope this guide helps you to know where you are in relation to the UK system but should you require further assistance you can contact us.
